The Yamaha FZ-X Hybrid was released in India for Rs. 1.49 lakh.
Yamaha has finally upgraded the Yamaha FZ-X with its hybrid technology and introduced a new TFT screen with turn-by-turn navigation. The bike is priced at around Rs. 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Earlier this year, the company showcased this bike to its dealers, and it appears they decided to launch it to target the upcoming festive season. With this new hybrid technology, the company aims to increase the bike’s cost and boost profits.
Designed to improve energy efficiency, this hybrid system features a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) that charges the battery and works with the engine to deliver a mild torque boost for marginally quicker acceleration. The benefits of this technology also include silent engine starting and an idling start-stop function. This Yamaha FZ-X variant also features a new TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
The Yamaha FZ-X will continue to be available in the standard variant, priced at Rs. 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom), while the hybrid version will be the top-spec model, also offering a new Matte Titan colour.
