Hero Karizma XMR Base Variant Discontinued
Hero MotoCorp has discontinued the base variant of the Karizma XMR in India. The motorcycle has been removed from the company’s official website, and the dealers have stopped receiving its stock. The motorcycle is now available only in two variants – Top and Combat, which are priced at Rs. 1,99,750 and Rs. 2,01,500, respectively (both prices are ex-showroom).
Low demand for the base variant seems to be the only logical reason for its discontinuation. It missed out on niceties like upside-down front forks and a Bluetooth-enabled TFT dash, both of which are present in Top and Combat variants. It’s worth noting that the Karizma XMR hasn’t been able to shine on the sales chart, except for early last year when it reached the 2,000-unit monthly sales mark. Before the higher-spec variants were launched in April, extremely poor sales were recorded for the bike in the initial months of 2025.
Now, it remains to be seen whether the new variants perform better in terms of sales and how long Hero will continue the 210cc version before launching the bigger Xtreme 250R-based iteration of the Karizma.

The Karizma XMR is powered by a 210cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that makes 25bhp at 9,250rpm and 20.4Nm at 7,250rpm. This unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox and gets a slip-and-assist clutch. As for the hardware, the bike is based on a new steel trellis frame and is suspended by telescopic front forks and a six-step adjustable monoshock. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises a 300mm front petal disc and a single 230mm rear disc. With an 11-litre fuel tank and a 810mm seat height, it weighs 163.5kg (kerb).
